What we have been up to at Lullilu

Our founder, Ronit Zilkha, got together with Stella McCartney and Poppy Delevigne to raise money for West London Action for Children, Teenage Cancer Trust, and Medecins Sans Frontiers.

Together they watched a student fashion show and selected the winning outfit.

Everyone was impressed by the organisation from the girls who worked hard and made this a fantastic event, raising £2000 for some exceptional causes.

The most amazing catering was provided by 17 year old Hannah, from Hannah”s Oven, who is an inspiration to us all at Lullilu. Our favourite Nutella Brownies recipe is below but you can find many more at http://hannahsoven.com.
All the profits that Hannah’s Oven makes will be put towards supporting LiNK,
Liberty in North Korea.

                                          Ingredients

  • 6 oz dark baking chocolate
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1 ½ cups caster sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsps vanilla
  • 2 tbsps espresso (or brewed coffee)
  • 1 cup flour
  • ⅔ cup Nutella

                                          Directions

  1. Set oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 9 x 13 pan with parchment paper / foil
  2. Microwave the chocolate butter until the butter is melted (90 seconds)
  3. Stir until chocolate is melted and smooth
  4. Stir in sugars then eggs and vanilla
  5. Add the espresso
  6. Mix in flour just until combined. Do not overmix
  7. Pour batter in pan
  8. Zig zag the Nutella over the batter using a knife
  9. Bake for 25-28 minutes or until the edges start to pull away (they will cook as they cool)
